Dinner at Macomb Outreach Center

For many years, the Celebrity Waiter Dinner took place annually at the SRC Community Outreach Center in Macomb. The themed dinner featured pre-dinner activities, a delectable dinner, lively entertainment, optional costume attire, and celebrity waiters competing to receive the highest amount of tips for the evening. The event was supported by over 50 volunteers. Net proceeds from the event were used to provide technology/furnishings for the Spoon River College Macomb campus and the Community Outreach Center – Macomb.

Now, after a couple years without a Macomb event, the SRC Foundation has brought the annual dinner back, but with a little twist.  Enter the Macomb Murder Mystery Dinner!  Guests will recognize some of the elements of the Celebrity Waiter Dinner, but other parts are completely new!  After successful 2017 and 2018 events, the Foundation is looking at options for a Macomb event later in 2019.  Keep an eye on http://www.src.edu/foundation/Pages/dinner.aspx for more information.

Golf Outing at Wee-Ma-Tuk Country Club

The annual Foundation golf outing occurs each year in July at beautiful Wee-Ma-Tuk Country Club in Cuba. The event is a full day of golfing, contests, food and fun. Since its inception, the outing has raised over a quarter of a million dollars for the SRC Foundation.

The 2015 golf outing was our most successful yet, raising nearly $26,000 for the SRC Foundation, our 2016 outing raised over $21,000, our 2017 outing brought in over $22,000, our 2018 outing raised over $23,000, and the 2019 outing brought in over $25,000. Our 2020 event is tentatively scheduled for July 31, 2020. For more updates, or to sign up to play in or sponsor the event, contact Colin Davis at (309) 649-6395 or colin.davis@src.edu, or visit http://www.src.edu/foundation/Pages/golf.aspx.

Havana and Rushville Events

In the future, the SRC Foundation hopes to host biannual events in Havana and Rushville. Our most recent event, held in Havana in late 2016, was a western-themed dinner auction entitled "Horsin' Around Havana" at Big Horse Vineyards.  The event surpassed its goal, raising over $10,600 for the SRC Havana Center!

The SRC Speakeasy held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Grandpa’s in Havana was a huge success!

Guests at the SRC Foundation FUNdraiser enjoyed live music, entertainment, and hors d'oeuvres! The Hardworking Committee members did a great job creating a timeline of Havana’s rich history, including gambling, cigars and Havana's connections with the notorious Al Capone.

Close to $4,500 was raised with this event through ticket sales, sponsorships and our Silent Auction.

A big thanks to our many generous supporters!
